Nhl And Fanatics Launch Innovative Uniform Collection

The National Hockey League (NHL) and Fanatics recently unveiled new NHL uniforms for teams, including the Buffalo Sabres, set to be worn during the 2024-25 season. These new uniforms were introduced to players drafted in the NHL Draft held in Las Vegas over the weekend.

Fanatics CEO, Michael Rubin, expressed pride in revealing the first-ever Fanatics branded NHL uniforms, emphasizing the collaborative effort with NHL players, the NHLPA, equipment managers, teams, and the NHL in crafting these jerseys. The design process was driven by feedback from key stakeholders, ensuring that the new uniforms met the expectations and preferences of those who would wear them. Rubin highlighted the positive reception from players and teams during the previous season, underscoring the excitement of making these jerseys available for purchase to NHL fans after a decade.

NHL Commissioner Gary Bettman emphasized the significance of NHL uniforms in sports, noting the history, tradition, and respect associated with NHL sweaters. He praised Fanatics for listening to players and clubs, maintaining the quality, performance, and design of the uniforms to cater to world-class athletes. Bettman highlighted the shared commitment between the NHL and Fanatics in serving players and fans, expressing pride in the outcome of the new uniform collaboration.

While the overall design of the jersey remains consistent with the current version, several enhancements have been incorporated into the new NHL uniforms. These include an additional layer of fabric in the lower sleeve for enhanced durability, new shoulder fabrics, a new NHL Shield execution on the front neck with a hologram finish, and Fanatics branding embroidered on the back neck of the jerseys. These features were influenced by feedback from NHL players and equipment managers, aiming to improve performance and durability on the ice.

Fanatics engaged with various players to gather feedback on the fit and feel of the jerseys, ensuring a comfortable and functional design. The uniforms are set to be manufactured in Canada, maintaining a focus on quality and authenticity. The collaboration between the NHL and Fanatics in developing these new uniforms reflects a dedication to meeting the needs and expectations of players and fans alike, ushering in a new era of NHL apparel for the upcoming season.
