First Look at Utah Hockey Club Players in Full Uniform
The Utah Hockey Club is gearing up for its inaugural season in Salt Lake City after relocating from Arizona. The team recently unveiled their new uniforms, providing fans with a first look at the players sporting the club’s fresh attire.
The uniform features the word “UTAH” emblazoned diagonally across the front of a black, blue, and white jersey, complete with sleek striping patterns on the sleeves and around the waist. While previously seen in digital renderings, the actual uniforms showcase a classic yet modern design that represents the team’s new identity.
Displayed in the released photos is the black home set, with the white road jersey boasting slightly different striping. Notable additions to the uniforms include the State of Utah logo on the helmets and a unique placement of the Inaugural Season patch on the jerseys. The team opted to feature the State of Utah logo on both shoulders, giving the impression of a standard secondary shoulder logo rather than a commemorative patch.
The Utah Hockey Club’s inaugural season logo, shaped like a pennant with three mountain peaks, pays homage to the state’s design aesthetic. The logo incorporates the club’s emblem and the years 2024-2025, all trimmed in powder blue. Additionally, the team revealed their center ice design, which mirrors the inaugural season logo with miniature state silhouettes of Utah within the red line.
Looking ahead, the Utah Hockey Club’s logo, name, and uniforms are set to be exclusive to the 2024-25 NHL season. Beyond that, the team is considering six potential names for permanent use starting in the 2025-26 season, including Utah Blizzard, Utah Mammoth, Utah Outlaws, Utah Venom, and Utah Yeti, alongside the current Utah Hockey Club moniker.
While officially recognized as a new franchise by the NHL, the Utah Hockey Club absorbed the entirety of the Arizona Coyotes, including players, contracts, staff, and draft positions. The team is slated to make their pre-season debut on September 22nd against St. Louis, with their first regular-season game scheduled for October 8th against Chicago.
