Fanatics Unveils New NHL Jerseys for 2024-25 Season
The National Hockey League (NHL) and Fanatics have introduced the Fanatics Authentic Pro NHL on-ice uniforms, marking the debut of the first NHL player uniforms designed and branded by Fanatics. These new uniforms are set to be worn during the upcoming 2024-25 season. The unveiling of the Fanatics Authentic Pro NHL on-ice uniforms aims to generate excitement ahead of the 2024 Upper Deck NHL Draft scheduled to take place on June 28-29 at Sphere in Las Vegas. During the draft event, the NHL’s incoming players will receive their official Fanatics jersey representing their new team once their names are called on stage.
The design and development process of the Fanatics Authentic Pro uniforms involved collaboration between Fanatics and the NHL, with input from various key stakeholders such as NHL players, the National Hockey League Players’ Association (NHLPA), and executives and locker room personnel from all NHL clubs. The collective effort resulted in the creation of a high-quality jersey tailored for the modern hockey player.
While the base construction of the jersey remains consistent with the current standard, the Fanatics Authentic Pro uniform boasts several new features. These include an additional layer of fabric inside the lower sleeve to enhance durability and minimize wear from friction against the boards, a new shoulder fabric design, a unique NHL Shield execution on the front neck with a hologram finish, and Fanatics branding embroidered on the back neck of the jerseys. Manufactured in Canada using both domestic and imported materials, the Fanatics Authentic Pro uniforms offer a blend of comfort, durability, and performance.
Fanatics, in collaboration with the NHL and NHLPA, conducted visits to all 32 NHL clubs over the past few months. Players like Connor McDavid, Aleksander Barkov, Matthew Tkachuk, Nikita Kucherov, Steven Stamkos, and Brady Tkachuk had the opportunity to experience the new uniforms firsthand. Feedback from these players has been positive, with many appreciating the familiar base construction of the jerseys along with the subtle design and performance enhancements made by Fanatics.
In March 2023, the NHL announced Fanatics as its new outfitter for on-ice uniforms and authentic jerseys starting from the 2024-25 season, taking over from Adidas. Over the years, Fanatics has expanded its partnership with the NHL, operating retail stores at various NHL arenas and major events like the NHL All-Star Game and Winter Classic. The transition from Adidas to Fanatics signifies a new chapter in the NHL’s apparel landscape, with Fanatics bringing its expertise and innovation to the forefront of NHL merchandise.
The introduction of the Fanatics Authentic Pro NHL on-ice uniforms marks a significant milestone in the partnership between Fanatics and the NHL, setting the stage for a new era of player jerseys designed to meet the demands of the modern game.
